Balenciaga FW 2013

Being Alexander Wang’s debut collection for the house and the show been brought forward, expectations were certainly high. Wang gave us a cautious but strong collection, playing on classic Balenciaga shapes with a modern, minimal twist. Garments were heavily textured with sculptured hems and cutouts making for a classically simplistic start to the show.

The front row cheered as the designer took his bow - proof of his well earned and enduring popularity and a sign he will be supported going forward.
